Summary
While perhaps not an "officially" recognized style, it is worn by many, and even has the specific brand, Alice & the Pirates catering for it. It can be worn beautifully at any time, without having to look like a costume (see: Guro Lolita). Pirate Lolita often features asymmetric cuts, pirate-themed prints and accessories, corset belts and bustle skirts.

- Follows the traditional Lolita silhouette.
- Items are sparsely decorated with lace, chains and pearls.
- Motifs includes skulls, pirate ships, crowns, crosses and roses.
- Headdresses commonly seen are corsages, bonnets, feathered tricorns
- Vests and jackets come with buttons and belts.
- Blouses has jabots, are often high-collared with large bows or attached chains.
- Skirts and dresses are often tiered, or has a bustle.
- Accessories includes eyepatch, rum bottles, treasure chests, cameo pendants, crown rings, pearl chokers etc.
- Socks and tights are often striped, containing pirate motif patterns or plain with crown embroidery.
- Shoe examples are shoes with wooden soles, tall high-heeled laced boots, ankle boots, or button-decorated buckled sandals.
- Bags are plain or in imaginative forms, such as treasure chests.
Makeup & Hair
- Hair can be worn in any style. Curly, straight, bangs, no bangs, long or short hair.
- Light eyeshadow.
- Eyeliner if desired.
- Mascara.
- Pink or a soft nude lipstick or lipgloss.
- If desired, fake eyelashes can be put on to achieve a doll look.
- It is also common to use special contacts called circle lenses to achieve said above look.
