Style » Kuro/Shiro/Etc Lolita
Summary
There are several color themed styles in Lolita fashion, the two most well-known ones being Kuro (black) and Shiro (white) Lolita. Kuro Lolita is completely black, while Shiro Lolita is pure white. Kuro Lolita is sometimes mistaken for Gothic Lolita, but Kuro Lolita completely lacks Gothic elements. Both Kuro and Shiro are based on Classic and Ama/Kote Lolita.
Lesser known color themed styles are Aka Lolita (red), Pink Lolita, Sax Lolita (saxon blue) and Mono Lolita (monotone). Aka, Pink and Sax Lolita usually have a color scheme of the base color x white lace. Mono Lolita consists of i.e. a white-only blouse, and a black-only JSK with white socks and black shoes. These style terms are only used in Japan.
