Style List
Style List is the section of hello lace which details on the Lolita fashion sub-styles and style themes, with hair/make up suggestions and images.
Gothic Lolita
Gothic Lolita is arguably the most infamous Lolita sub-style. The term "Gothic Lolita" is so popular in the Western world that it has been commonly (and incorrectly) misused as an umbrella term to refer to all Lolita styles.
Ama/Kote Lolita
These sweet styles are reminiscent of all things cute, as displayed with their unmistakable bold pastel patterns, its affinity for cupcake-shaped skirts, and in some cases: decorations and accessories.
Classic Lolita
The calmer and more neutral alternative, Classic Lolita is a muted, mature style which pays more homage to its stylistic-era ancestors (Victorian, Rococo, etc.), than its style relatives.
Lolita Punk
A fun style which combines concepts of Punk fashion and Lolita fashion together. Often referred to as "Lolita Punk" in the Japanese world, this style has an edgy boyish rocker feel but still maintains its cuteness.
Casual Lolita
Casual Lolita is the casual solution to Lolita. Much more practical and toned down from the other subgenres, it is ideal for the person who wants to maintain the Lolita silhouette while not looking overdressed.
Kuro/Shiro/Etc. Lolita
Kuro/Shiro/Etc. Lolitas are the color themed Lolitas. Usually adhering to a single color scheme per outfit, these Lolitas can range anywhere in color from pink to black.
Hime Lolita
Hime (Japanese for princess) Lolitas are majestic and elegant, as the name suggests. These Lolitas are often seen sporting items which are reminiscent of royalty, such as pearls, crowns, and even scepters.
Ero Lolita
Ero (derived from the English word erotic) Lolita, is a darker and more mature style. Though it contains a slightly sexier approach compared to other Lolita styles, it still contains the modesty of Lolita fashion.
Sailor Lolita
Equipped with its own sailboat and anchor, the sea-themed Sailor Lolita is the fusion of sailor fuku (セーラー服 / sailor clothing) and Lolita.
Guro Lolita
Named "guro" from the English word grotesque, Guro Lolita is a unique look on its own, incorporating several gory and macabre-esque elements into a Lolita silhouette for a cute yet scary coordinate.
Alice Lolita
Born from the concept of Alice in Lewis Caroll's Alice in Wonderland and the visual presentation from the Disney movie based off of the book, Alice Lolitas are a Lolita's twist on the beloved character's wardrobe.
Pirate Lolita
An equally nautical sub-style as Sailor Lolita, Pirate Lolita offers a different experience from its relatives and even has an individual brand which caters to it and its wearers.
Ouji
Ouji (Japanese for prince), is often considered to be the male/couple counterpart to Lolita, though usually worn by women. The style shows influences from several styles, such as the media portrayal of Romantic Era European princes, pirate attire, and even punk fashion.
