Site » About hello lace

hello lace (stylized lowercase with a space in between) is a Lolita fashion project started by Linda F. in the later months of the year 2009 and released to the public as a BETA version in June 2010. It is an extension of the hello mode network, and is a strictly non-profit website dedicated to the fruits of labor of several dedicated Lolita brands over the years. hello lace is an attempt to further link the bridge between the Japanese Lolita world and the Western Lolita world.

Disclaimer: hello lace does not sell any products; rather we redirect you to official and otherwise legit online shops, where you may purchase from them individually.

Our Purpose

What is an "OP"? What does "guro" mean? Lolita fashion is not only a versatile and widespread fashion, but also a very confusing one to the person who is just beginning to research the fashion.

This project is based mainly off of the Japanese origins and communities of Lolita, and thus contains many terms that may be unknown or even nonexistent in the Western communities. We have attempted to create an educational, yet objective view of this incredible lifestyle. Not only does this site offer insight regarding the history, origins, and current known affiliated styles/sub-styles; it also contains an archive of several well-known brands for one to experience the evolution of Lolita over time.

hello lace strives not only to serve as useful for newcomers to the fashion, and not only for the clueless individual as well, but to also become an important and invaluable resource for even the most well-informed Lolita.
